The mother caresses that little face and, as if wanting to stop thatmoment of infinite gratitude and sweetness, goes to his studio and makes a clay model of it. You are in Bolzano, on an unspecified day in 1950, and you have just witnessed the birth of the Angel of Thun.
Like the most beautiful works of art, Thun is born from the inspiration of a moment.
The famous Angel – today known in every corner of the world as the symbol of the South Tyrolean city – was followed by the creation of teddy bears and ladybirds, butterflies, hearts, balloons and flowers, in a succession of collections now inspired by nature, now to traditional values of the Thun house, each characterised by the softness of the shapes and the scrupulous choice of raw materials.
Since then, the creative atelier run first by Lene and Otmar Thun, then by their son and grandson, has continued to create unique collections capable of giving you great emotions.
